Tasweer is an information scientist who applies computer science, machine learning and AI techniques to solve the complex problems of cultural data analytics, visualization and understanding.
Bio
Tasweer Ahmad was a CUDAN Senior Fellow from Fall 2020 to Fall 2022, where his work focused on object recognition in stylized images. Tasweer previously completed his PhD in Electronic Information Engineering from South China University of Technology. During his PhD, he studied the problem of human action recognition and developed some methods for recognizing actions in images and video using deep learning techniques. He has also worked as an instructor and taught the courses, Machine learning, Image Processing and Computer vision at university level.
